Dear Guest,

As you are all aware of the deadly outbreak of Coronavirus/ COVID-19 all over the world, Ormonde House team would like to reassure you that the health and wellbeing of our guest and our staff is our top priority.  As a team we will be following the World Health Organisation’s policies, procedures and advice.  


The staff are very aware of the ongoing situation and understand that we need to strictly follow the hygiene standards & procedures that are expected from us throughout the whole of the hotel. We have been following daily procedures to intensely disinfect door handles, work tops, tables, bathrooms etc, every couple of hours to minimalize the chances of the virus spreading.

Currently, our usual 72-hour cancellation policy still stands. However, in the unfortunate event that you have made a booking but feel unwell within 72-hours before your arrival, we will move your booking to a more appropriate time in the interest of your wellbeing during these unsettling times.


We are closely monitoring the daily changing Government guidelines and following their instructions accordingly. Whilst there are no reported cases of the virus amongst either our guests or staff at present, here's what we are doing to ensure we can protect you as much as possible:

•If you are not feeling great, we ask you to postpone your visit with us until you’re feeling better.

•Upon arrival our teams will let you know about our hygiene facilities that are on hand throughout your stay.

•We will always extend a warm welcome to arriving guests, but for the time being this welcome won’t be accompanied by a handshake or any other physical contact.

•        We ask for your help in washing your hands thoroughly as often as possible. All members of our team have committed to wash hands thoroughly every 2 hours.

•We are cleaning and sanitising all touched surfaces i.e. door handles, cloakrooms etc. every 2 hours.

•In our restaurant and bar, we are reducing density of tables with immediate effect, so there is greater distance between you and your neighbours.

•We will continuously be monitoring all members of staff health closely. Any team member that presents symptoms, however mild, will not be entering the hotels for 7 days, we have increased our support to them.

•Team members will observe the 2-metre distance rule from guests and colleagues as much as possible, as recommended by the government.

 If you feel unwell at any point during your visit or develop symptoms, however mild, please inform a member of staff immediately and follow government advice.


Our Hotel is operation as normal and would like all our guests to enjoy your stay as planned. If you need to cancel your booking the current cancellation policy of 72 hours still stands. However, should the Government’s advice change to prevent travel please contact us to discuss your options, including moving your booking to a later date.


Our thoughts and sympathy are with all those affected by the Coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak both within the UK and abroad.
